One of the most important factors to consider when taking on the challenge of starting a fitness routine is motivation. Perseverance is crucial, and after years of consistent training, I've learned that this is the key to success. Whether you're having a rough day or feeling tired, staying at home won’t make you feel better. That’s why I rely on the tool of perseverance to push myself to get out and train. If there’s one thing I can guarantee, it’s that the reward is worth it. Yes, there are times when it feels tough, and our mind tries to convince us to stay in the comfort of home, but that’s exactly when we need to care for ourselves, take that first step, turn up the music, and disconnect. By doing so, we only take in the positive energy from our surroundings.
Another important point to remember is that this journey is a long one. Along the way, we may lose our sense of direction, which is why it’s essential to understand that we are in a process. Sometimes, it’s necessary to take a breath and rest to gain a new perspective and realign ourselves with our goals. It’s crucial to never forget that we do this because we enjoy it and it benefits us, but we also have other aspects of life that sometimes demand more time and energy. Once we’ve recharged and reminded ourselves of why we love this, we can harness that motivation and transform it into a powerful training session.
